Getting back at content thieves
Some bloggers will tell you to send a polite letter to the webmasters explaining that they’re using your content without permission. Okay, fine. I agree that’s the way the first round of contact with the content thief should play out, just in case it truly was unintentional and the person isn’t just trying to use your content to make money. However, if you don’t get the reponse you wanted-for them to stop stealing your content-then, the gloves come off!
Hit them where it hurts the most. Where? In the wallet! Most of these people steal content from many other websites so that they can lure as many visitors/impressions to their sites as possible. So, just contact their advertisers. Most companies like AdSense frown down on publishers who partake in shady practices like content theft.
