Google announces the winner of Doodle 4 Google

Grace Moon, a 6th grader at Canyon Middle School in Castro Valley, California, won Google’s Doodle 4 Google contest.

The caption for her doodle, “Up in the Clouds,” read:

My doodle, “Up in the Clouds,” expresses a world in the sky. This new world is clean and fresh, and people are social and enlightened. Every person here is treated as family no matter who they are. The bright sun heats this ideal place with warmth, love, and brightens everyone’s day.

Moon’s doodle will appear on Google’s homepage for through the end of today.

In addition to that, Moon will receive:

* a $10,000 college scholarship, a trip to the Googleplex
* a laptop computer
* a t-shirt with their Google Doodle printed on it
* a $25,000 grant towards the establishment/improvement of a computer lab for their current school
