How to lose a friend with the click a send button

Have you experienced this? You check your email inbox and see an email from your friend. You open it and see a list of other email addresses in the CC field and are outraged, because for all you know, some people on this list could be spammers. I have to admit that I have burned bridges and business relationships because of this. A few weeks ago, I sent of a one-liner to a former client, which simply read, “Remove this email address from this list.” But, that relationship was pretty much over, anyway. So, how do you handle this? Obviously, you get angry. But, how do you deal with the person who make this annoying mistake?

Have you received an email that looked something like this?:

SEND THIS TO TEN OF YOUR FRIENDS WITHIN TEN DAYS!!!…

Yes, the stupid chain letter. I don’t know what would make any of my friends think that I would be remotely interested in this type of crap, but I do sometimes receive chain letters. It just makes me realize how stupid my friends are.
