Optimizing your site for Yahoo!

Optimizing your website for Yahoo! search is not much different than optimizing for Google. For starters, both search engines use the same sitemap format.

You can use a simple bots.txt file to direct Yahoo! to the sitemap that you are using for Google. But, the best way to get Yahoo! to your sitemap is to register it with them.

To do so, log into your Yahoo! account and go to https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

The section that you should use at this point is the one labeled Submit Site Feed.
